Founded in 1955, Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) in Rosemead, California, is a Catholic, college-preparatory high school unlike any other in the nation. Combining rigorous academics with specialized technology programs, Bosco Tech equips students with both a strong foundation for higher education and the technical skills to succeed in today’s innovation-driven workforce.

Bosco Tech currently serves 364 students, all male, with a historic transition on the horizon: in Fall 2026, the school will welcome its first class of female freshmen, becoming coeducational for the first time. Students range from ages 14 to 18, with 19% coming from families living below the poverty line. Located in a community where poverty rates are high and dropout rates among public high schools average 4–6%, Bosco Tech stands out as a beacon of opportunity.
